A nice old classic from Rio this week. A 1906 Bianchi 15/20 Coupe De Ville. This model was made in Italy in 1965, and is one of my personal favorite Rio models. Possibly because of the odd suspension setup, or the interesting green/yellow color combination, it's just such an interesting old motor car.

Solido ~ Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider ~ # 106
An absolutely stunning Alfa this week ! The light blue color just sets off the free flowing lines of this sports roadster. Who hasn't dared to dream of driving one of these through Tuscany, or along the Mediterranean coast with top down, glorious sunny days with no traffic - most likely something that is gone altogether in todays overcrowded civilization ! This very attractive model was made by Solido between 1958 and 1968, was offered in 9 different colors, featured cast body, gray or black chassis, plastic windshield, interior details and female driver, turned hubs, tires, suspension, silver headlights, grille, and bumpers. One of my Favorite Alfas ! Arrivederci Ciao !

Mercury ~ 1964 Lancia Flavia ~ # 31
Nice little sedan this week from Mercury. Released in 1964, features cast body, silver chassis-bumpers, plastic interior, clear windows (sort of :) unpainted hubs, black tires, suspension, silver grille and lights. Came in 3 different colors, Ivory, Red, Light Green. Mercury is right up there with my favorites as they have a certain "style" to all their models. Nice weight, good body shapes, and okay detail. Just wish they were a little easier to find and of course cost a few Lire less !

Dinky ~ Panhard PL 17 ~ # 547
Haven't had a Dinky model for a few weeks, thought I'd do a little scene with my MiniArt street café. Looks like the Panhard is being towed for parking in a no park zone ! After downing a nice veggie sandwich, the owner discovers his beloved "family member" being tortured by the Solido Tow truck and authorities. Pleading with them doesn't appear to be working !
A recent addition, this Dinky was made between 1960-1968, and has probably survived a lot of owners in 55 years. Offered in 7 paint schemes, happy to add this interesting shaped sedan into my modest collection.

Ziss ~ 1907 Ford Model T Roadster ~
From Germany With Love ! First Ziss in our collection ! Made in West Germany, This 1907 Model T Roadster is a very attractive model. I draw your attention to the simulated front axle and simple suspension detail, which is a great improvement over some other makes that just have a rod axle ! They also have a nice "feel", good weight to them. I'll certainly be on the lookout for more Ziss models.
