Rio ~ 1912 Fiat Modello "Zero" ~ Ref # 7

  An attractive gem from the past this week.  Rio released this model in 1962,  and what a model !  The detailing is nice,  not superfine but good,  and the wheels are good,  something other makes didn't do that well or "cheated"  in my opinion with some of these age d'or cars.   Rio are particularly noted for having opening engine covers and detailed engines,  however not on this Fiat !

Solido ~ 1928 Mercedes Benz SS ~ Ref # 132

  A classic model from Solido again this week, originally issued 50 + Years ago !   How do I know ?  The date of issue is tooled into the die on the base of the model !  11/63,  Ref # 132.   This model not only features working suspension and opening doors,  but also front seats with folding backs !  Wire wheels are nicely reproduced and the overall details are well upto the usual standards from Solido !   A Gem from the 20s !

Solido ~ Cadillac 452A ~ 1930

  Age D'or is one of my favorite series to collect.  Solido has always made some of the top models,  and was voted as the most popular model company in the CARS publication poll.  Always fun to hunt these down on ebay,  and are relatively inexpensive.  Not sure why they're not more in demand and higher in price.   Made in France,  this model of the classic Cadillac V16 is a great addition to my slowly growing collection of 1930s beauties !
